  • Douglas, Pam. (2006, 7 June). "City approves downtown skyscraper". Brampton Guardian.

    Brampton councillors have said 'yes' to a 27-storey condominium to be built on George Street in the downtown core, a decision that will kick-start a downtown "revolution", according to some.

    The concessions Alterra agreed to that eventually made councillors happy with the look were finalized two weeks ago:

    the original plan had two entrances off George Street. That has been changed to one to allow for the addition of retail space along George Street;

    the original plan called for mostly stucco on the exterior of the first five floors. That has been changed to stone and brick to match older buildings in the downtown;

    Height of building: 27 storeys

    Number of units: 301

    Parking : 4 1/2 levels above ground, two undergound for a total of 315 spots
