  A good example is Bloor Walk, a brand new condo situated at the end of Hayden St. east of Church St. The complex consists of a 17-storey shaft sitting atop a three-storey brown brick podium.

  Bringing new life to such a property is a sign of good urban health. Well-serviced and beautifully located, this condo, a block south of Bloor St., is close to everything. On the other hand, how strange that the architecture seems so firmly rooted in the past. With its fussy balcony railings and arched entrance, it looks like a watered-down version of something that might have been contemporary in the early decades of the last century.
