  Offering high quality interior options and finishes has to be balanced with rising land and building costs, says Anthony Corsetti, director of construction for developer Canderel Stoneridge Equity Group Inc.

  "You're always trying to keep the price affordable," says Corsetti, while walking around Canderel's sold out DNA project, under construction at the corner of King St. W. and Shaw St.

  To improve construction efficiency with DNA's two buildings — one 15 and the other nine storeys — Canderel is using pre-cast concrete panels to form the outer walls. (Building systems for exterior walls are referred to as cladding in construction.)

  Of the 546 units in DNA, about 60 purchasers selected polished concrete floors, which Canderel offered in shades of amber, green, grey and black.
