  • Hume, Christopher. (2004, 23 October). "Dunhill suited to Prince Arthur site". Toronto Star.

Though recent history hasn't been kind to Prince Arthur Ave., it remains one of Toronto's most gracious streets. Its glory days were in the 19th century and the buildings constructed then still go a long way to make the neighbourhood as attractive as it is. The advent of the Dunhill, 95 Prince Arthur, has not done as much damage to the streetscape as some of the 1960s and `70s slabs farther east, but on the other hand, it's far from beautiful. Beauty, of course, is not something condo dwellers have any right to expect in Toronto. By and large, the people who build them would rather be remembered for how little they spent than how well they built. Excellence rarely enters the condo equation and the Dunhill, though not nearly as oppressive as much contemporary residential architecture in this city, is no exception. On the good side, this eight-storey box is largely hidden behind red brick walls and its masonry exteriors do their best to remain invisible. The dark green metal window frames and bays are an obvious attempt to enliven the façades, but they are only partially successful. Still, in its scale and materials, the complex is much better suited to Prince Arthur than some of its neighbours. Grade: B-
