  • Yu, Sydnia. (2006, 11 June). "30-storey tower will complete 'little city'". Globe and Mail.

Tridel's lengthy development of the master-planned Northtown condominium community in North York is nearing completion with the launch of its final phase, Grand Triomphe 2.

Located along Yonge Street, south of Finch Avenue, Grand Triomphe 2 will be a 30-storey, glass tower that adds 300 units to the development that's already home to 3,000 families.

Sales have been strong with close to 90 units sold since the launch last month, Mr. McLellan says. As a result, occupancy has been moved up to December, 2008.

Mr. McLellan says these larger units — up to 1,356 square feet in a three-bedroom with a den — often attract empty-nesters who are looking for space and facilities to accommodate visiting grandkids and children attending university.

Grand Triomphe 2 will also be Northtown's first "green" building, certified by the Canada Green Building Council, a factor that has attracted many buyers.
