"Suites big enough for families". (2007, 16 June). Toronto Star.
"We've already sold 43 suites,'' says Massimo Marotta, sales and marketing manager for Icon Development's 143-suite Promenade on the Danforth.
Three-bedroom suites in new condominiums have been rare but Marotta says the company has recognized that there is a family market and it's responding. The project will also include 1,700 square feet of retail space.
The 14-floor building features a brick and glass façade, a broad curving parapet and three tiers with staggered glass balconies that allow sunlight into suites. "The design was inspired by an award-winning building in Europe,'' says Marotta.
Suites range from the 528-square foot, one-bedroom Horizon with a 57-square-foot deck, selling for $164,990, to the 975-square foot Oasis, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a den and a 1,528-square-foot deck. It sells for $469,990.
The largest suite is the 1,166-square-foot, three-bedroom Lakeview which comes with a 116-square-foot deck for $350,990. The signature series Lakeview has a 1,625-square-foot deck for $431,990.
