For the hip, urban crowd of 20 and 30-somethings that frequents the downtown core for work and for play, Exeter Group of Companies has designed a modern boutique condominium at Queen Street East and Jarvis Street.
"Location-wise, it's close to the Eaton Centre, a few blocks to the St. Lawrence Market for shopping," says Avi Cytrynbaum, vice-president of the developer, Glasshouse Development. "New restaurants seem to be opening up every month on King Street."
As the building's name suggests, sheets of glass will wrap around the 12-storey structure, creating floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies and terraces with transparent railings. "The public likes the sleekness of glass," Mr. Cytrynbaum explains.
The project will contain 86 suites, ranging from one bedroom, one bedroom plus den to two bedroom suites, from 430 to 1,200-square feet. Like the exterior, interiors will have design-savvy features, such as nine-foot ceilings, stone kitchen counters and custom bathroom vanities, says Brad Lamb, whose company will handle Glasshouse sales.
