  • Hume, Christopher. (2005, 30 April). "Dull, bland box too nondescript". Toronto Star.

Among the most recent examples is the grandly named Wellington on the Park, 800 Wellington St., a hopelessly nondescript 11-storey box that has almost nothing to recommend it. Despite its excellent location, just east of Strachan Ave. and south of King St., this is a building so predictable, dismal and lacking in redeeming features, one wonders why anyone bothered.

Even the name is misleading; the building is separated from the nearest green space by an empty lot that will in turn likely become the site of a condo. Its empty facades, ordinary finishes and clumsy design give it a strangely unfinished quality. Just finding the main entrance is difficult.
