Raymer, E.v.. (2005, 4 June). "West Harbour City poised for change". Toronto Star.
West Harbour City, a highrise development on the site of the old Molson's Brewery across from Coronation Park, is positioned to be a part of the revitalization of Toronto's waterfront.
Steps from Harbourfront, the 36-storey Plazacorp condominium building on Fleet St. is expected to open for preview sales this month. It has some distinguishing features, Repetski notes.
"It makes extensive use of precast on the exterior of the building, along with very, very large windows, which gives it a distinctly residential look ... The terracing on the side of the building is also unusual,'' using a stepped pyramid-style above the 11-storey podium, with the tower part of the building rising above. Spacious terraces offer panoramic views.
The building will have about 460 units, and include full-floor penthouses on the 35th and 36th floors at 5,500 and 6,500 square feet. Suites are priced from $189,900 for one-bedroom, with 1,400-square-foot suites in the $450,000 range, and up to $2.5 million for the penthouses.
