Contributing
Contributing to UrbanDB is a great way to advertise your expertise on real-estate, planning, and urban issues. Your name, company, or "Anonymous Contributor" will be listed on the contributors list for the records that you contribute data, photographs, or other material toward. Frequent contributors may receive, at the discretion of UrbanDB, a link to their website.
Contributing is easy to do. Search for the building, complex, or company record you are interested in using the search functionality in the upper left hand corner, and click on the "Edit" button. Make your modifications, confirm them, and submit to our editors for review and application. Most updates are put live within 48 hours of the submission.
UrbanDB receives visits from thousands of individuals each month who are interested in purchasing or leasing real-estate who do not have an agent representing them. I know this because despite several notices that we do not do sales, we still receive numerous requests from individuals looking for someone to show them a building.
Your name and title, if you wish, will appear on all building pages which you have contributed toward. Regular high quality contributors to UrbanDB, at the discretion of UrbanDB, receive a link to their website.
This is your opportunity to invest a little bit of time and show your knowledge on real-estate to a large number of potential clients.
We are regularly asked if we know who did the lighting for building XYZ or landscaping for building ABC, and what their contact information is.
You can obtain additional leads by ensuring we list all of the contracts your company has or will be fulfilling. Take 10 minutes to check the address, phone, fax, and website URL are accurate and provided on your company summary page.
Taking 10 minutes to ensure all of the details are up to date on UrbanDB, including a link to your sales URL, can make a substantial difference to the first impression your building receives.
Many of our visitors use UrbanDB to find out about the history of the companies working on a building and other details to ensure it is a safe investment for them and their family.
In many cases UrbanDB is making the first impression. We have had over 5000 visitors look at the 1 Bloor East building page before visiting the official 1 Bloor East sales website.
When scanning UrbanDB for new investment opportunities or that first purchase, potential buyers are much more interested in a building with complete data than one with sparse data.
